It is an event no parent wants to even think of.
Your child has gone missing – and now the police need you to make a description of your child so that an amber alert can be issued.
It is being prepared for the unthinkable and hoping it never happens the Masons bring the Mason-chip Ontario program to the area.
Today the North Star Masonic Lodge 332 of Owen Sound and Maple Leaf Masonic Lodge 362 of Tara are hosting the Mason Chip Ontario event at the Derby Public School in Kilsyth from 4 PM until 8 PM.
The program will help make an identifying package for the parents should the worst ever happen and their child go missing.
There will be a photo taken of the child, video, digital fingerprints, dental bite impression, vital child information and intra oral swab for DNA.
Parents are asked to bring information with them like emergency contact information, the child’s weight and height.
Once all the information has been gathered it is given to the parents and then erased from the hard drive of the Masonic’s for privacy.
The program is free to participate.
