It was a full house at the Hanover Chamber of Commerce annual general meeting.
And members listened to Ontario Chamber of Commerce Vice President of Policy and Government Relations Stuart Johnston share a message of hope.
He says Ontario is a magnet for attracting people and talent from across the globe.
Johnston says the province has a similar vision, noting this weeks Throne Speech spoke of and Open Ontario.
He says its now a matter of the Ontario Chamber of Commerce partnering with the province to make this vision a reality.
Johnston adds Hanover has a lot to be proud of, noting it is one of the more active smaller Chambers in the province.
He advises the Hanover Chamber to stay the course as well as to continue to engage the business community on the issues that are important to them.
Johnston also defended the HST — saying it will give Ontario the competitive edge it needs to attract business investment.
