A Georgian Bluffs woman is banned from driving after a serious crash on Highway 6 last summer.
Yolanda Novak was charged with dangerous driving and impaired driving after her vehicle hit a horse trailer drawn by a pickup truck south of Durham in July.
Court heard the truck was stopped in a line of traffic being controlled by a construction flag person.
Police say Novak’s car hit the trailer, crossed into the oncoming lane, rolled several times, and came to rest in a ditch.
She was pinned under her vehicle and a group of passing motorists rescued her.
Novak pleaded guilty to the charges.
She received a fine and 18 month driving ban.
