It may be over a year away, but Simoce Grey MPP is already thinking about the provincial election.
Jim Wilson is joining Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP and hundreds of other delegates for the PC Annual General Meeting in Ottawa this weekend.
Wilson tells Bayshore Broadcasting News there are 14 delegates from Simcoe Grey including four from Wasaga Beach and a total of 12 hundred.
Wilson says the group will be strategizing for the election in October 2011.
He tells us the theme is jobs and getting the province out of the recession.
Wilson says the people of Simcoe Grey have been telling him creating more jobs is the most important thing to them.
The Progressive Conservatives are planning their election platform around helping the middle class with tax cuts and a tax freeze in some areas.
