This March is in like a lamb.
Bayshore Broadcasting Weather Specialist John Wilson says he wanted to put the old axiom of “in like a lion, out like a lamb” to the test.
Wilson says he looked at meteorological records going back 25 years.
Only 6 years conform to the old saw – and the last time it happened was 2007.
Wilson says 4 years saw pretty stormy March’s, with the month coming in and going out like a lion.
Wilson says another 4 years did the opposite of the old saw, coming in like a lamb and going out like a lion.
And the majority, 11 years in total, came in like a lamb, out like a lamb.
Wilson says that’s surprising considering that March is usually considered a volatile month.
