The latest from the Helena Guergis Charlottetown meltdown is a request from the federal Liberals for security tapes from the airport.
The Liberals are also requesting a formal investigation by Transport Canada into the incident.
Guergis — the Minister of State for the Status of Women — has apologized for what she called an emotional outburst at the airport in Charlottetown on February 19th.
The Liberals have filed an Access to Information request for copies of the security video tapes from the airport the day in question.
Status of Women Critic Anita Neville — who called for Minister Guergis resignation on Friday — says she wants to know if Guergis violated Canadian aviation regulations.
Airport security tapes are normally destroyed a few weeks after they are made.
The Liberals are asking Transport Minister John Baird to be sure the tapes aren’t taped over or tampered with.
Guergis — the Conservative MP for Simcoe Grey — is in New York City this week, at a United Nations conference on the status of women.
