It was one tough decision after another but a panel of judges have announced the 2010 Community Achievement Awards in Kincardine.
Event chair Linda Bowers says 11 awards will go to the winners at a gala on March 27th.
Bowers says among the winners is the Bruce Power Citizen of the Year who is Jennifer Webb.
Bowers describes Webb as “relentless” when it comes time to volunteering in the community, particularly the Bluewater Playhouse and the fish derby in Kincardine.
She says Webb is passionate for the success of both.
The Canadian Tire Farm Business/Farm Related Business of the Year Award goes to Anderkin Foods.
Bowers says owner Guy Anderson — a Kincardine councillor–was instrumental in the development of the Grey Bruce Agriculture Culinary Association.
She says that certainly has assisted the farm business throughout the region.
Other winners include:
Herbal Magic’s Business of the Year — Crabby Joe’s of Kincardine
Bruce Telecom Customer Service Excellence — Kwik Way of Tiverton
Municipality of Kincardine New Business Award — Nine Waves of Kincardine

OPG Environmental — Ainsdale Golf Course
Kinfarm Tire Young Entrepreneur of the Year — Matt Cottrill

All the awards will be presented at a Gala Awards Dinner on Saturday, March 27th.
