Students with the Bruce Grey Catholic School Board have a big heart as shown by the Hats off to Haiti campaign.
Students have raised almost 16 thousand dollars ($15,500) for the Haiti Relief effort.
Their work is not done yet, fundraising projects for Haiti continue in various schools.
Student trustees Joe Cassidy and Bridget King are pleased with the money raised and they call it a phenomenal amount.
But the students say they are not surprised.
Cassidy says as a Catholic community — students want to do whatever they can to help others.
King adds everyone was eager to pitch in and help out.
She says the fundraising work ties in perfectly with the Lenten Season which includes a strong focus on self sacrifice, and almsgiving.
All monies raised is being sent to the Sisters of St. Joseph, a Canadian Catholic organization for Development and Peace.
The group will distribute the money to the Haiti earthquake victims.
