Collingwood’s hospital wants you to stay away if you’re not feeling well.
An outbreak of a gastrointestinal bug has the facility closing its medical ward to all visitors and asking people coming to the hospital as volunteers or for treatment to stay away if they’re sick.
Eight patients in total are said to have come down with nausea and diahrea.
The hospital says it’s not admitting new patients to the medical ward, and no patients currently there will be moved.
Visitors to the unit are also completely banned.
No word yet on what is causing the symptoms,
The hospital staff say they are working with the province to try to identify the illness.
Clinics are still running and outpatient services are still in place.
