While other communities in Bruce and Grey are wrapping up budget talks, one has yet to begin.
Arran Elderslie Mayor Ron Oswald says staff departments are only now gathering information to create proposals to bring to the first budget meeting.
Oswald expects the first meeting to take place in the next month or so.
He admits there is a lot of ground to cover and they will be spending a lot of money – on two projects in particular; a water tower in Tara and the Chesley Big Dig.
Money from the latter – comes from federal funding and reserves from the sale of the old P.U.C building in Chesley.
The municipality has failed five times to secure provincial funding for the big dig, but will try again for one third of the four million dollar project this year.
