Local MPP Bill Murdoch is still on the outside looking in at the Legislature.
A meeting yesterday with Speaker Steve Peters to see if the Bruce Grey Owen Sound MPP would be allowed back in the chamber went nowhere.
Peters says the situation has not been resolved and his decision to suspend them stands for the remainder of the session.
Murdoch and fellow MPP Randy Hillier would have to show up at the door of the chamber and offer a “tightly worded” apology to both the Speaker and the house.
The two M-P-Ps may be able to get back into the legislature next month when a new session starts.
Murdoch triggered the suspension by calling the premier a liar and was joined by Hillier in a 44-hour sit-in.
The two actually apologized to Peters when they ended the sit-in on December 2nd — but it wasn’t recorded because they weren’t recognized by the Speaker.
