A Collingwood snowboarder is the youngest Canadian athlete at the Vancouver Games.
17 year old Palmer Taylor will be competing in the all day ladies half pipe on Thursday.
Her parents are ecstatic.
Sydney and Scott Taylor say they’re not worried about Palmer, she can take care of herself.
The Taylors say this is a great accomplishment for their daughter and they knew this was the path she would follow since she was 13.
She was the first Canadian to win a US open in the 13 under category.
Palmer is in Vancouver now to get ready for event and her parents are flying there on Tuesday to cheer her on.
