The donations keep coming in for the planned Saugeen Shores Rotary Accessible Playground.
The Chantry Island Chambettes are the latest group to present council with a big cheque.
Spokesperson Martha Bennett says they were able to donate 5-thousand dollars to the playground project.
Bennett says the money comes from the Christmas Tour of Homes they hosted with the Tara Curling Club back in November.
Bennett says the event was a great success with 687 tickets sold as people checked out the decorations at 11 homes and one church.
The Tara Curling Club has also donated 500 dollars of their share of the tour proceeds to the playground.
Bennett says the Chambettes think the accessible playground is a great idea and will be something children, adults, and seniors can all enjoy.
She says they also recognize that children with special needs in the community currently have nowhere to go and play.
These latest donations are on top of the 50 thousand dollars donated by the Port Elgin and Southampton Rotary Clubs and the 75 thousand donated by Bruce Power.
Community Services Director Mike Myatt says to date between 275 and 300 thousand dollars have been raised.
He hopes construction of the playground starts this June at Jubilee Park in Southampton.
