If you shop Hanover you can join the local library for free.
Out of town shoppers can now receive a complimentary 3 month library membership at Hanover’s Library.
This promotion is a joint venture between the Hanover Chamber of Commerce and the town library.
Shoppers can pick up their voucher at any number of participating businesses as well as the Hanover Library.
The promotion runs until June 30th.
Chief Librarian Bill VanKeuren calls it an exciting partnership.
He says many area residents use Hanover as their regional shopping and service centre and want the convenience of using the Hanover library as well.
However because they are non residents a user fee is applied.
VanKeuren says this provides area residents with an opportunity to use the Hanover Library for free to see if perhaps they will want to join as a fee paying member after the promotion ends.
He says the complimentary library membership is also a way of saying thank you to all those out of town residents who shop in Hanover.
