A night for youth film in Owen Sound.
The first ever Youth Film Festival is set for tonight.
Spokesperson Margaret Hodgins says a total of 12 films – both animated and action – were received and all will be played.
Hodgins says the festival organizer Nadia Danyluk put the call out for entries – the response was strong.
Awards have already been handed out for the films – but there is one very important award that has been left in the balance to be handed out at the viewing.
Audience will be asked to vote for their favourite film following the screening and then the peoples choice award for best film will be handed out.
Hodgins suspects the festival will continue next year as the interest seems very keen.
The Festival is a free event and is being held at the Library auditorium from 7 PM to 9 PM.
Sponsors of the festival are the United Way of Bruce Grey and the Tom Thompson Art Gallery.
