The Kincardine Downtown Business Improvement Area (BIA) has made its plans for 2010.
The organization wants to continue the provitalization process it began two years ago, plus a couple of other things.
Chair Jacqueline Faubert says one of the projects is a Business Retention and Expansion strategy
She says they’re asking business owners to let them know how they’re doing, if they’re planning to expand, sell products online, or develop any succession planning.
Faubert says the second project for this spring is a community perception survey for the downtown.
She says they want to find out from residents what they would like to see downtown and what needs they would like to see met in the area.
The BIA has received money from the Bruce Community Futures Development Corporation to conduct the survey, which can be completed by going online to the the BIA’s group on Facebook.
Faubert says they also want to streamline the number of major events the BIA stages each year and concentrate on one winter event and one summer event, and hold large promotional campaigns in between.
