A 53 year old woman is dead after a crash between a car and an ambulance on Highway 6 in Chatsworth Township.
Grey County OPP say the crash happened around 8:30 AM Saturday just north of Dornoch near Side Road 9B.
Constable Steve Starr says the woman was driving northbound when she lost control of her car and spun into the path of the oncoming ambulance.
She died at the scene but police have not yet released her name or hometown.
Constable Starr says the woman was the only person in the car, while the Grey County Emergency Medical Services ambulance was carrying 3 people.
The driver sustained non life threatening injuries, while the attendant in the rear of the ambulance and the patient being transported were not seriously hurt.
Both the driver and patient were taken to Grey Bruce Health Services-Durham
for medical assessment.
Constable Starr says visibility was good at the time of the crash, but the highway was snow packed, with centre bare, wet, and icy sections.
Highway 6 was closed until just after 2 PM Saturday between Grey Road 25 and Side Road 9B.
