A Southampton resident and RONA Employee is off volunteer at the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver.
RONA — a National Games Partner — is sending 100 employees, and following extensive background checks and an application process, Cori Gayton was chosen.
Gayton says she will serve as a volunteer as the games – specifically at the Olympic Family Hotel as a hostess to the International Olympic Committee and judges.
Gayton says flies out February 9th and will stay with a Vancouver RONA employee through a home stay program for twenty days.
She will cover off fifteen shifts and will be able to attend at least two events, depending on her work schedule.
Volunteers were chosen across Canada by RONA based on professional and personal qualities and then individually evaluated by the Vancouver Organizing Committee.
