The Blue Mountains budget for 2010 is now set.
It is one of the earliest dates, for a budget to be set in the town.
Treasurer Robert Cummings says some last minute cuts had to be made at council after the province cut the amount of money the town gets under the Ontario Municipal partnership fund.
The province cut funding by roughly 135 thousand dollars compared with 2009, to 1.58 million dollars.
Cummings says there were no job cuts, but department heads were asked to delay or defer hirings and delay implementing some programs.
He says they also were able to find some savings in the OPP policing contract.
The town treasurer says the 2010 budget means a tax hike for homeowners of roughly 2 per cent, not including changes in the County or education budgets.
