It could be worth a ton of free advertising for any given city or town that makes the cut.
Hasbro — the makers of the popular board game Monopoly — is creating a Canada game board.
Hasbro spokesperson Marisa Pedatella says the vote is on until February 7th and you can vote.
Pedatella says all you have to do is log on the voting site and you can cast as many as four votes everyday.
First, you can, if you wish, vote for three cities out of 65 that have already been chosen by Hasbro, based on population.
However there is also an opportunity to nominate your own favourite town or city in a fourth vote.
Pedatella admits, locations such as Owen Sound, Southampton, Port Elgin and Kincardine are not on the pre-selected list.
It’s up to us to nominate our favourite location everyday.
Pedatella says the top ten nominated locations will then be open to a vote again, to choose the top two to complete the Monopoly board.
That additional vote takes place from February 8th to 21st.
The new Canadian game board will be coming out on the Canada Day weekend.
The winners of the all the votes will be announced in late June.
