South Bruce Peninsula councillors are taking action towards building a better relationship with one another.
A Municipal Affairs facilitator will visit Council today and again at the beginning of February for some coaching.
Michael Coyle — a facilitator from the province — will first meet with each councillor individually today.
Then all of council will participate in workshops on February 5th and 6th.
Acting CAO and Clerk Rhonda Cook says Coyle will not be addressing procedural bylaws because it is a conflict-resolution type workshop.
Cook says he will mediate and try to resolve some of the problems Council has experienced over the last few months.
Both staff and council will participate in the workshops and Cook believes Council wants to work out their issues.
She hopes this will move them forward in a positive manner.
Council voted in favour of bringing in help from Municipal Affairs at the beginning of December following a phone call to the OPP during a meeting.
The workshops will be held in a closed session.
