A new website has launched in the Scenic City.
www.myowensound.ca is being called a community portal targeted to both visitors to the region and residents.
General Manager Jamie Pettit says its designed to be a one stop shop for all kinds of local information.
Visitors will find a list of options from local recreation facilities and restaurants to accommodation and community services.
Pettit says the website is updated daily with photo galleries of events that have taken place throughout the area.
He says while the focus will be mainly on Owen Sound — it will also promote other communities such as Meaford, Chatsworth and Wiarton.
It will also feature blogs from well known members of the community as well as a free online monthly newsletter.
Pettit says the site will also allow agencies to submit their coming events free of charge on the web calendar.
He says the site has no official link to the city of Owen Sound and receives no funding.
However Mayor Ruth Lovell Stanners has seen the site and given her support.
