Then the finals are on Wednesday at 1 PM, with the awards ceremony at 2:35 PM.
Willy Raine is the Assistant Coach for Canada’s Ski Cross Team, and he says there are about 16 countries competing, including the great ski nations like Switzerland, Germany, and Austria.
He says this is the second last event before the Olympics in Vancouver, followed by a race in Lake Placid, and the Canadian Olympic team will be announced on January 25th.
Raine says that Ashley McIver has made the Canadian team, and 3 more are probably going to make it as well.
And he says there are 3 more athletes that could make the team with one more good result.
Raine says that McIver won a gold and bronze medals recently, and Chris Del Bosco and Kelsey Serwa took gold in a race at Alpe dHuez, France on January 13th.
He says both Del Bosco and Serwa are on the cusp of making Team Canada.
