A vote of confidence from Bruce Grey Owen Sound Conservative MPP Bill Murdoch over he appointment of Carol Mitchell as Agriculture Minister.
Murdoch says the Huron Bruce MPP is a good choice for fill that portfolio and will do her best to get the voice of rural Ontario heard at the Cabinet table.
He says however despite how much Mitchell may try, rural issues will still probably take a back seat to other issues.
Murdoch says Mitchell worked to get this position by constantly backing every proposal put forward by the Premier.
He says one group who probably will be pleased with her appointment as Agriculture Minister will be farmers in Grey and Bruce because she has worked with the farmers in the past.
Murdoch says he himself has a good working relationship with Mitchell and that too should bode well for both his riding and Huron Bruce.
As for the move of the former Agriculture Minister Leona Dombrowski to Education, Murdoch says that was a bad move.
He says that Kathleen Wynne was doing a very good job in that portfolio and bringing in someone new when things in the education field were begriming to improve is a mistake.
