A decision by Bruce County Council to award a rural broadband internet expansion contract to Bell Aliant is now a legal matter.
A group of local internet providers is taking action against the County for not giving more consideration to their bid.
Warden Mike Smith says two delegations appeared before the Corporate Services Committee yesterday and now, a litigation is pending on the issue.
Smith says he cannot make many comments on the situation due to the legal nature.
But he believes the County followed a fair and open process to arrive at its earlier decision.
The two delegations were led by John Schnurr of Nvisible Links and Bryan Walden of Kincardine Cable TV.
