It is predictable as snow squalls off Lake Huron and Georgian Bay.
Its Grey Bruce Farmers week, from January 6th to the 11th.
Every January about this time, farmers from around the region gather in Elmwood to talk about the agriculture industry and what may be happening in the future.
Grey County Ag Services co-spokesperson Ray Robertson says the week kicks off Wednesday morning at the Elmwood Community centre with Beef Day.
Robertson says the beef industry is not out of the woods yet in Canada and they will feature speakers that will look at the future of the trade.
That is followed by Dairy day on Thursday.
According to event co-spokesperson Lorie Smith, Goat day on Friday is expected to be well attended.
Smith says the industry is growing by leaps and bounds and she notes last year during goat day, a lot of the delegates came from outside Grey and Bruce counties.
Sheep Day on Saturday.
An ecological trade show takes place Saturday afternoon which will see presentations on organic farms and animal welfare.
Sunday is one of the more popular days of Farmers week, as it is Horse day with a special separate program for youth.
Grey Bruce Farmers week wraps up Monday with Crops day with several presentations dealing with how farmers can get more support from the public.
Each day is 20 dollars to attend which includes a meal.
