Both Union and Non-Union workers will be employed at the huge Owen Sound Regional rec complex.
Some workers in the area have been griping that Aquicon Construction of Brampton will only be hiring Unionized workers for the nearly 38 million dollar project.
However, Chair of the Rec Centre committee, Jim McManaman, says it depends on what part of the project you are looking at.
McManaman says Aquicon has union affiliations and some jobs will be done by union workers, but others will be thrown open for bidding by Non-Union companies.
Councillor McManaman says details will be available thru Owen Sound city hall in the new year.
Meanwhile, site work is about to get underway in January.
McManaman says the first work that needs to be done is the moving of water and sewer lines out of Victoria Park.
After that is done, digging will begin for the actual foot-print of the Regional Rec Complex.
