The Saugeen Shores Chamber of Commerce has a new president and she forsees a busy 2010.
Businessperson Cheyl Goetz says there’s one area where status quo isn’t a bad thing.
Goetz says the staff at the Chamber office are the best and she hopes all will continue to work as efficiently as they have in the past.
She says the local Chamber is one of the biggest in Ontario, boasting over 400 members in Port Elgin and Southampton.
Goetz says now that they have the numbers, she’d like to see those members out at more events sponsored by the Chamber.
For instance, she says the monthly Business After Hours get together is aimed at business people networking with others in a social setting but still discussing common business problems.
Goetz says in 2010 she’d like to see more unique businesses and industries set up shop in the Saugeen Shores area.
She says we are lucky to live in such a unique community and hopes more businesses will see the advantages of locating here.
Cheryl Goetz is the owner of Herbal Magic in Saugeen Shores and in Kincardine.
