It’s the end of the year and you start to assemble the various highlights from the calendar year gone by.
In local sports, you could certainly make the case for the Owen Sound van Dolder Home Team Woodsmen who did what no team has done in 20 years, win the Presidents Cup and the Canadian Senior Lacrosse Championship in back to back years.
However, with no offence to the Woodsmen, I felt the sporting highlight of the local sports year was this one…..
