Hanover’s tennis courts have found a new place to relocate to.
This Spring the tennis courts will moving across town to the old James A Magee School site.
The courts will be located on the south end of the property adjacent to the Hanover Family Centre.
The Hanover Raceway and Agriculture Society will be picking up the moving costs.
The move is necessary in order to accommodate the upcoming Hanover Raceway expansion for a new a 500 seat banquet hall.
Construction should begin next Fall.
The new banquet hall will be located on the current site of the Hanover tennis courts and St. John Ambulance.
St. John Ambulance will be moving across the road behind the Kinette Totland Park — which will also move to accommodate parking.
At this point in time it looks as though the park will be relocated somewhere within the immediate vicinity.
All of the moving costs will be covered by the Hanover Raceway and Agriculture Society.
