The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Light the Way campaign has gone over the top.
Almost 90 thousand dollars ($89,745) has been raised.
The goal was 80 thousand.
Campaign Chair Doctor Claire Jeffery says she’s elated with the way the residents of Saugeen Shores and area answered the call for the funds.
Jeffery says the money will be used to buy two new electrocardiogram machines that will synchronize with the computer system at the hospital that will make the reporting and diagnosis of people, a lot easier when they’re in the emergency room.
She says all the money raised in the community will stay in the community.
Jeffery says the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation would like to thank everyone who took part to make the Light the Way campaign a success.
She says it really does say a lot about the community in which we live.
