A drug bust in Saugeen Shores.
On December 5th, Saugeen Shores Police executed a search warrant at a home in Port Elgin.
Officers seized 248 grams of marijuana, 55 Ecstasy pills, 59 Oxycodone pills, 7.6 grams of hash oil, 2 codeine pills, 925 dollars in cash, and a handgun.
Inspector Ken McCulloch says the value of the drugs and cash combined is estimated at 68 hundred dollars.
McCulloch says a 49 year-old man was arrested and charged with 4 counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of marijuana, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The accused will appear in Walkerton court in January.
McCulloch says any drug seizure, regardless of quantity or value is significant and it’s good to get drugs off the street.
