Bruce Telecom has a new CEO.
Board Chair Richard Martin says Eric Dobson has been appointed as the new President and CEO of Bruce Telecom.
Martin says Dobson begins his new job on January 4th.
Dobson comes to Bruce Telecom after a successful career with Rogers Communications, where he was Senior Vice President of Business and Carrier Services.
Martin says Dobson has a track record of building profit wherever he’s worked and has been instrumental in building effective management teams.
He says that’s a couple of the reasons the board knew Dobson was the man for the position.
Dobson replaces Michael Andrews who resigned as CEO for personal reasons earlier this month after only 14 months on the job.
Martin says they are looking forward to working with Dobson as they move to an increasingly competitive telecom environment.
