Cheer loud and cheer proud Hanover.
With just over a week before the arrival of the Olympic Torch — Hanover is busy preparing for a once lifetime celebration.
Olympic Torch Committee Chair Jeanine Dunlop says the town has quite a celebration planned.
Fire breathing staves and jugglers, dancers and cool ice characters will all be a part of the opening ceremonies.
Hanover’s Heritage Square will be transformed into a spectacular ice wonderland as professionals carvers bring blocks of ice to life.
There will also horse and wagon rides, and lots of musical entertainment.
Dunlop says Hanover has caught the Olympic fever and can’t wait to be a part of this momentous event.
The Olympic Torch will arrive in Hanover on December 28th.
There will be 9 torch bearers — their identities have not yet been announced.
