The first year of new rules covering ATV use in West Grey apparently went smoothly.
In the spring, West Grey imposed new rules on ATV riders, allowing them to operate on municipal roads from March 1st to December 15th each year.
The only exception is ATV’s used for plowing snow in the winter.
Police Chief Rene Berger says there were a number of complaints in the first couple of months about riders in Glenelg Township using property property instead of going on roads.
Berger says his officers addressed those concerns and they have had few complaints since then.
Chief Berger says there have been no accidents reported on municipal roads since the new ATV law came into effect.
The ATV bylaw doesn’t allow riders to operate on roadways during the winter months.
