The Bruce Grey Owen Sound Liberal Riding Association has a new President.
Judy Gay — who also is a Georgian Bluffs Councillor — was elected this week to the position and says one of her first priorities is to try and increase the party membership.
She says one way to do that is to try and lure back former Liberal Party members who left to join the Green Party.
By doing this, Gay says they will set up a strong network of liberals throughout the riding.
Gay says some of the main issues that must be addressed in any election campaign are jobs and the environment, both areas where she claims the Conservatives have failed miserably.
She says locally the party is in good shape financially and is well prepared to fight an election with local Liberal Candidate Kimberley Love leading the way.
Gay also disputes some Conservative allegations that Love is really not a local candidate and has spent most of here working life away from Grey Bruce.
She says Love was born and raised on the family farm in Proton Township and continues to live with her family in the original Love home.
