A Bluewater school success story in Meaford.
The community was out in full force Thursday night to enjoy Christmas music at Georgian Bay Secondary School.
More than a third of the students at Georgian Bay Secondary are now enrolled in the school music program.
Six different bands within the program performed including string orchestras, a junior concert band and a large jazz ensemble.
The finale saw an orchestra of 169 musicians perform Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus.
It was GBSS’ 11th annual Christmas concert.
Director Patrick Delaney says the program is about great kids looking out for each other and great musicianship.
