The Bruce Children are Special Foundation along with the Children’s Aid Society continue to look for help for Christmas.
Spokesperson Cherie Borho says they are trying to meet the demand for their Christmas hamper and Adopt A Family program.
She anticipates a larger need this year for the programs.
Last year 32 families were adopted and 270 hampers were handed out by the Bruce Children are Special Foundation.
Borho says any group of people or business can adopt a family through the program.
Borho says they are mostly looking for money now.
But she says they will accept everything from clothing to toys — and many times teens and babies are forgotten so make sure not to overlook them.
She adds this is the families only chance to get spoiled as the family can only get adopted once.
If a family is not adopted – they automatically receive a hamper.
Borho says a hamper is a collection of food and gifts for the family – including a voucher for a turkey.
Donations can be dropped off at the Walkerton CAS office or call 1-888-807-7773.
