Grey County OPP have now laid charges after a pick up truck rear ended a horse and buggy in Peabody.
The 45 year old man from West Grey who was driving the pickup has been charged with careless driving.
Police say the truck crashed into the buggy on Grey Road 3 yesterday afternoon.
The woman who was driving the buggy — 16 year old Fannie Stutzman — remains in hospital with serious injuries.
The horse also sustained serious injuries and the buggy was destroyed.
It’s the second crash involving a horse and buggy in the last couple of weeks — the first crash occurred near Flesherton on November 29th.
