Real Estate sales took off in November in Grey Bruce.
Figures released by the Realtors Association of Grey Bruce Owen Sound show the average price for single detached home hit a record high of 220 thousand dollars.
That average price is up 16 percent from a year ago.
President Neil Devlin says there were 146 homes sold last month — which is up 32 per cent from the year before.
In total, the value of those homes came in at nearly 32 million dollars which is 50 percent higher than the value of homes sold in November of 2008.
Devlin says low interest rates are making the market red-hot.
He says you can find five year fixed mortgages now at 3.99 per cent — a level unheard of in at least 40 years.
