Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP have arrested and charged a Meaford man who caused a head on collision.
Around 6:15 PM Thursday, OPP officers were called to a crash on Highway 26 in the area of Lora Bay.
The accused male was travelling eastbound on Highway 26 when a westbound vehicle noticed the accused driving at her vehicle head on.
The westbound vehicle moved to the right of her lane in an attempt to avoid a collision but was struck by the eastbound vehicle.
OPP say the suspect was arrested for impaired driving while the woman in the other vehicle was taken to Meaford Hospital with injuries.
Highway 26 in the area of Lora Bay was closed for approximately two hours while police investigated.
Along with the impaired charges, the Meaford man is charged with driving while under suspension.
