Unit Six at the Bruce nuclear generating station in Tiverton is coming back on line.
Bruce Power President and CEO Duncan Hawthorne says he expects the unit to be providing power to the grid by this weekend.
The unit was taken off line on November 15th because of a surplus of what is called baseload generation in Ontario.
Hawthorne says part of the issue was the unseasonal warm weather we experienced in November and as a result people were using less power.
He says in addition there was some transmission line commissioning which limited the flow of exports from the province.
As a result the normal flow of energy was not around.
Hawthorne says he expects the transmission line to be back in service by this Sunday and Unit 6 will be up and running providing energy once again.
