Bruce County Council wants a study to be done on the health effects of wind turbines — but it wants the province to foot the bill.
Council was going to use ten thousand dollars on the study as part of the five year review of the County’s official plan.
But Councillor Mike Smith says they decided to leave the money for something else.
Smith — the Mayor of Saugeen Shores — says the consensus is the provincial government should be paying for the study instead.
Warden Bill Goetz says a letter is being sent to the province asking for an independent study on the health effects of wind turbines.
Goetz says their request is also being circulated among other municipalities in order to gain support.
