Many residents in Hanover are still shaken after a driveby shooting on the weekend.
Hanover Mayor Kathi Maskell says the weekend drive-by shooting on 11th Avenue was an isolated incident and there is no need to panic.
She says Hanover is just as safe today as it was last week.
Maskell says she has been told by Police this was not a random act of violence and the 18 year old male victim was targeted.
Just before 5 AM Sunday — Hanover police responded to a call regarding a gunshot.
The 18 year old man who was shot remains in a London hospital in serious condition.
Two people have been arrested in connection with the shooting.
Maskell says their thoughts and prayers are now with the victim and his family.
She also commends the Police officers in Hanover and Wingham as well as the OPP for a job well done.
