A section of 11th Avenue just south of Hanover’s main street is blocked off.
Hanover police and the Criminal Investigation branch of the OPP are investigating a shooting on 11th Avenue just a few block south of main street.
Inspector Ron Shaidle says Hanover Police received a call at 4:55 AM this morning over a possible gun shot at an 11th Avenue residence.
Shaidle says he can confirm an 18 year old man did receive a gun shot wound and was airlifted to London Hospital this morning.
No charges have been laid yet, the investigation is ongoing.
Hanover Police requested the assistance of the Criminal Investigation branch of the Ontario Provincial Police on the matter.
For now a section of 11th Avenue remains closed to the public within a block of the Lutheran Manor Apartment Building.
