It turns out two major police investigations in the region today are connected.
Huron County OPP Constable Joanna VanMierlo says it was a drive by shooting in Hanover that led to Police locking down a residential area in Wingham.
An 18 year old man was shot at a house on 11th Avenue in Hanover just before 5 AM Sunday.
The police investigation then led to Wingham, where two suspects were holed up in an apartment on Scott Street.
VanMierlo says they took the two suspects into custody around 11 AM without incident.
The teenager shot in Hanover was airlifted to London hospital in serious condition.
Police remain in Wingham as the investigation continues.
