There is a special fundraising dinner tonight for the Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory.
The 6th annual dinner will be held at 5:30 PM at St Mary’s Parish Hall in Owen Sound and it includes a silent auction.
The guest speaker is Doctor Dan Mennill — a specialist in Avian Communication from the University of Windsor.
He will speak about chickadees and their habits, social aspects and bird calls.
Doctor Mennill has been studying not just birds in North America but in tropical climates as he heads to Costa Rica for part of the year to study tropical birds.
The Bruce Peninsula Bird Observatory is a non-profit organization that promotes and fosters the study of birds in the region.
Tickets are 45 dollars each.
