The Kincardine Chamber of Commerce has held its annual general meeting and has a new slate of officers.
Enbridge General Manager Bob Simpson takes over from Marie Wilson as President.
He says Wilson has left the Chamber heading in a good direction with a strategic plan, new website, and surveys.
Simpson says because of tourism, he thinks the overall business community in Kincardine is in good shape, with no boarded up stores on the main street, unlike other communities in Ontario.
He says there is always the opportunity to do better and attract more business and people too.
The new website — www.kincardinechamberofcommerce.com is meant to be a “411 service” for local businesses.
Upcoming projects for the chamber include the Santa Claus Parade, which is being held on December 5th, the 2010 achievement awards in March, and the Wine and Dine Fundraiser in April.
