There is a push to create a Block Parents program in Durham.
Resident Art Cousins has organized a meeting to look for volunteers who are interested in starting up the program.
The meeting will take place at 7:30 PM tonight at Spruce Ridge Community School.
The distinctive red and white Block Parent sign in the window of a home tells children, seniors and others that help is at hand if they are lost or in distress.
