South Bruce OPP are trying to increase awareness about domestic violence.
November is in fact Domestic Violence Awareness month.
OPP Constable and Media Relations Officer Kevin Martin says they are holding a free presentation of an award winning movie tonight.
It follow’s the true story of a woman’s abusive relationship which led to the murder of her husband.
Martin says it’s called “Looking for Angelina” will be shown tonight at the Kincardine High School Library at 7 PM.
The movie is set in a tough economic time, where lack of work leads to drinking ultimately an abusive situation.
Martin says while it’s a turn of the century movie; the times unfortunately can be related to today.
OPP along with officials from various outlets including the Women’s House Serving Bruce and Grey, Victim Services of Grey, Bruce and Owen Sound, Bruce County Victim/Witness Program and the Sexual Assault and Partner Abuse Care Centre will all be on hand.
Questions will be answered and information on resources available in the area will be available.
